Hello everybody, I thought this would be fun to try.
Basically, this thread is all about showing off ideas for alternate universe automobiles, and even the companies who made them. Anything from small variations on real world models & makers, to automobiles from fictional worlds(Video games like Grand Theft Auto, etc., or published AH like Turtledove's TL-191, etc.) , and even completely original creations can be posted here.
For those more mechanically inclined, here's a standard template:
1. Universe:
2. Manufacturer/Model Name: [ex. Chevrolet Corvette Stingray]
3. Model Type:
4. Model Year: [can be one year, or multiple years]
5. Nation (and State/Province) of Origin: [ex. United States, Great Britain, etc.]
6. Production run: [can be for the model's whole lifetime, or just part of it; for ex. the C3 Corvette was made from 1968-1982, but the Corvette as a whole has been around since 1953.]
7. Total production: [same as above]
8. Engine: [displacement info recommended; ex., 427cid for a 1969 Corvette Stingray, or 4.6 liters for a '90s Mustang, etc., or 1595cc for a 1997 Honda Civic Si]
9. Horsepower: [*** hp @ **** rpm is recommended.]
10. Drivetrain: [ex. Front Engine, Rear Drive, 4WD, etc.]
11. Transmission: [manual or automatic, or even something in between]
12. Weight:
13. 0-60 mph(or 100 km/h):
14. Top Speed:
15. Description: [Can be short and to the point, or long winded. It's all up to you]
16. OTL Equivalent: [Basically, any real world car that might be, or is, similar to your submission. Pictures of the real world car you have in mind are recommended, too.]
Also, feel free to experiment with variations of this template, however you'd like.
