Can't have an AH site and not have at least ONE thread discussing this series! Well, has anyone else around here read it? I burned my way through them all in about in a month back in 2006 and loved them. ^_^ It's a cool idea and a fun story, and while I would've gone in some different directions than Turtledove did I still enjoyed pretty much all of it.

I've only ever read the last trilogy in which the Union and the Confederacy square off in the Second Great War. But that was a fairly good series of books as far as the writing goes, even if it's home universe is a little on the implausible side.
